FAQs
The consumption rate is about 2.5 l/m² when working with Textile Tape. Without Textile Tape approx. 1.5 - 2.5 l/m².
A layer thickness of approx. 1.5 - 2 mm after drying provides the best protection.
Please allow for a processing temperature of min. +5 °C. Rubber Seal should be allowed to air dry. At low temperatures and high humidity, the drying time is longer than the suggested drying time of 48 hours at 20°C.
For outdoor jobs, do not apply Rubber Seal if there is a risk of rain within 12 hours and take into account a processing temperature of min. +5 °C. Rubber Seal must form a firm skin, otherwise rain can mix with the uncured Rubber Seal, resulting in long drying times. That firm skin is achieved by applying Rubber Seal in several thin layers.
Bison Rubber Seal Textile Tape is strong and flexible. In addition, the Textile Tape has good absorbency. When used in combination with Bison Rubber Seal, it is ideal for bridging tears, cracks and seams and easily builds up layers.
Rubber Seal is dust-dry after approx. 3 hours and fully cured within 48 hours, depending on the amount applied and environmental conditions. Drying time may vary depending on temperature and relative humidity so take the ambient temperature into account. Bison Rubber Seal should not be applied when the ambient temperature is below 5°C.
Yes, you can. Before you start painting, test the adhesion of the paint to Bison Rubber Seal. Take into account the possible effect of the surface. In this case, choose an (elastic) paint that can compensate for this effect.
